Muslims Behaving Badly Toward Rushdie, Again

Once again some Muslims, presumably the reactionaries, have shown their true illiberal colors by issuing death threats to Salman Rushdie, in this case regarding his intention to appear at an arts festival in India (see here). And while there is always the remote possibility that I will be proved wrong, once again we cannot count on liberals and leftists in the West to protest on his behalf or to end their alliance with Islam.

I don’t have anything against people protesting the appearance of someone at an arts festival, but what I do object to are death threats. One would think that those liberals and leftists who are against the death penalty would be against death threats by religious conservatives, but so far they have remained silent. Why?
