for making them look relatively sane. Ever since the shooting in Connecticut, it has been impossible to talk to progressives in any rational way about guns, but now comes Iran to show that one can get even crazier than our progressives are. This article in the Washington Post informs us that Iran is blaming the shooting not on the shooter, Adam Lanza, whom we’ve been told was the culprit, but on an Israeli death squad. And this blog comes complete with a commenter (owainglyndwr1416) who is like a truther on this issue in that he (she?) insists that the facts we’ve been given could not possibly be true, given how much time the shooter had and how many bullets were used.
As the American philosopher W.V.O. Quine has reminded us, one can believe anything one wants, so long as one makes enough adjustments in other beliefs we have.

An Israeli death squad under the direction of Bush, Cheney, Rove, and Rumsfeld!

Wow.
And the left wants Israel to "sit down and negotiate" with people who think like this.
Yeah. Right.

I have no idea why the left thinks that Iran is somehow their ally. Ever since they butchered liberals and leftists in the early 1980s, Iran showed its true anti-progressive colors, and yet the left keeps sticking up for them.
