We’ve heard warnings before that the earth has passed the point of no return, with little evidence to show that it has, so hearing it one more time doesn’t impress me. This post relays the information from Van Jones that Trump has signed the death warrant for our planet, and sorry, that doesn’t worry me at all. We heard, for example, that snow was going to disappear from Britain by 2013. It didn’t happen. Here is a list of “tipping points,” points of no return for the earth’s climate, that were first predicted as far back as 1989 (at which time we supposedly had only a decade to stop irreversible global warming). See here, also. And for anyone like me who remembers talk of global cooling back in the 1970s, it’s all just chicken-little nonsense. It’s hard to believe anyone still believes it.
