Every August 6th Americans who love their country have to endure the nonsense of hearing about the horrors of the atom bomb dropped on Hiroshima, while hearing about none of the atrocities committed by the Japanese. (Here's the latest about this from Don Surber.) Many of the people criticizing us have no right to do so. Certainly the Germans do not, nor do the Japanese, who have their own war crimes. Nor does the left, which murdered about 100 million people in the last century. Maybe liberals who were also anti-communists have the right, but I would hope that such people are capable of putting things in perspective.
Anyway, my proposal is simple. Let’s make the first five days of August stand for some Japanese atrocities. We’ll let the critics have the sixth day, and maybe if our days get enough publicity they’ll get tired of the whole thing. The first day could be, for example, Bataan Death March Day. The second could be Korean Comfort Women Day. The third could be Rape of Nanking Day. And so on. (Sadly, we can’t use Pearl Harbor because it’s already bound up with December 7th.) Any suggestions for the remaining two days?

Oh I was going to recommend Unit 731 Day as well. That's certainly one of the more vivid atrocities.
How about Manila Massacre Day?
