This NY Times article (hat tip: Keith Burgess-Jackson) is overwhelming in the amount of denial it contains. The article talks about how Oslo, Norway, is divided by the issue of immigration (and assimilation), but you would never know the depth of the problems from this article. This video (hat tip: Jon Jay Ray and Pamela Geller) tells about a native Norwegian girl who was raped by a Muslim, who declared that he as a man had the right to do this. Also, I recently read But the Greatest of These Is Freedom, by Hege Storhaug, a harrowing account of life for Muslim women in the immigrant communities of Norway. There is nothing in the Times article that suggests anything wrong is happening, so the implication is that those opposing the immigrants are racist.
After hearing feminist rhetoric on rape for several decades, it’s strange to be in the position of educating them on what is happening to women in Scandinavia, because they are usually the ones who know more about such things than anyone.
