Soccer: This Is Probably Going Too Far

Argentina’s soccer federation has decided – or more likely the country’s leaders have decided – that its top soccer league, currently named the Liga de Primera Division, should be renamed the Crucero General Belgrano First Division. (See here.) The General Belgrano was a warship sunk during the Falklands War in 1982.

At least they aren’t naming it the Exocet Missile First Division. (See here.)
