At my church a Negro woman I'm friends with was talking to me about buying an extra bike we had a few years ago. Her son, a bike mechanic, talked her out of it because he thought it didn't have enough features and it became a matter of whether she respected his judgment in such matters.

He'd picked up his skills from his father, her ex-husband, who was also a bike mechanic.

It might depend where and when you're travelling whether you'd see adult Negro bicyclists.
