This site points out that the NY Times got screwed up when comparing Bush’s war in Iraq with Obama’s fight against ISIS, for they thought that Bush hadn't managed to persuade any other countries to join us in that war. Why would they think such a thing? It’s because the allies he had weren’t the ones the Times thought he should have had. What the Times remembers is that countries like France and Germany weren’t part of the coalition that Bush assembled, and in fact both were fervently against the whole venture. Still, the people at the Times should have remembered that Spain was part of the coalition because that was a reason given by the terrorists for their attack in 2004.
