The proposal can be found here. The author, John Zmirak, suggests that we house immigrant families in the dorms of elite colleges! As he puts it, this lets all those who so desperately want these people to remain here to have some “skin in the game” (a phrase he borrows from Nassim Nicholas Taleb). The students there can reside in tent cities.
I love this idea. For too long, we have lived with what might be called White Elite’s Burden. These are policies formulated by white elites that whites who are not elites have to suffer from while the elites get to congratulate themselves for doing good and to verbally abuse non-elites who resist them. Let them find out some of the consequences of proposing such policies.
