The team Flamengo from Rio de Janeiro won an important victory recently in the Copa Libertadores (or in Portuguese, the Taça Libertadores) against River Plate by 2-1. This is the annual club championship in South America, and the last time Flamengo won was in 1981, which is when I was in Brazil. I attended the first leg against Cobreloa from Chile, which Flamengo won, and after a game in Chile won by Cobreloa, the third leg was in neutral Montevideo, Uruguay. After Flamengo won, there were spontaneous parades forming in front of the hotel where I was staying. It was a fun atmosphere! So, congratulations, Flamengo, for another win.
