I seldom think about the virus these days. I stopped looking at the number of cases in our county months ago. My wife and our local friends treat it the same way. Yet, when we interact with people from cities, we find that they are hopelessly frightened by it. It’s hard to believe. We go out to restaurants all the time, and we never think about it, yet we know of city people who have barely left their houses in months. Sad, but true. Sometimes, this makes sense. I know a woman in Cleveland living with her elderly mother, and it makes sense for her to be cautious in order to protect her mother. But when I hear of people under forty who are deathly frightened, I have to wonder what statistics they are looking at.
