From this Steve Sailer column by a commenter named Giant Duck:
All of the prestige newspapers have articles lately lamenting, sometimes more obliquely, sometimes directly, the fact that the situation in Ukraine has pushed All Things Black from the tippy-top headlines.
It seems to be a battle within the newsrooms. On one side there’s the “My War” foreign correspondents, whose time has finally come after many years of boring Obama drone strikes and Trump not getting involved in hostilities anywhere.
On the other, there’s the All Things Black writers and editors, who thought their time had not only come, but was permanent. In their defense, they are doing what they were hired to do. Finding “racial” angles in seemingly straightforward things like Ukraine war coverage is, in fact, their job.
The column itself is about a NY Times article laying a guilt trip on Poland for accepting refugees from Ukraine (who are of course white), while not accepting them from Belarus (because they are not white and are not originally from Belarus). Sailer points out that the guy was originally from Sudan and so crossed many borders before wanting to get into Poland, and even then that is not his final destination. Plus, he fled from a coup and not an invasion. And one could add that Ukrainians going to Poland won’t cause as much cultural disruption as Sudanese coming to Europe.
The invasion, by the way, has reduced the number of these articles, it seems. The comparative quiet is a blessing.

Some of these buffoons have been whining that Russia attacking Ukraine is given more attention than African wars such as Sudan vs. South Sudan. “It must be because they are white,” they say. They are too stupid to realize that Russia - the world’s most heavily armed nuclear power - has threatened to use nuclear weapons against the rest of the world. Somehow I suspect that deserves a bit more attention.
The squirrels outside our house have deeper insights on world affairs than these stupid fools.
